(Learn more about where EV-DO coverage is offered.) The V Cast Music service enables you to download songs instantly to your phone, or purchase music through your PC and transfer the files to your phone. If purchased from your phone, you'll receive two copies of the song: a Windows Media Audio Pro Plus format at 64Kbps stereo is sent to your phone, and a Windows Media Audio 9 format at 160Kbps stereo is sent to your account in the V CAST Music online store for downloading to your PC. V Cast Music offers nearly 2 million songs, with more being added all the time.

In addition to the V Cast Music service, this phone is also compatible with Verizon's V CAST Music with Rhapsody, which enables you to access this exclusive digital music service for RealNetworks and for MTV Networks. V CAST Music with Rhapsody delivers unlimited monthly access to music on up to three Rhapsody-compatible mobile phones and players and online on multiple PCs and Web browsers. In addition, customers who purchase music over-the-air are able to download the master copy of the songs or albums to their PCs free of digital rights management (DRM) software that restricts how and where music can be played.

The V Cast Video service enables you to stream or download video clips to your phone from a variety of news, entertainment, sports, and weather channels, including CNN, ABC News, E!, CBS Sports, The Weather Channel, and VH1.

Verizon's Mobile eMail gives you access to your Windows Live Hotmail, Yahoo Mail and AOL accounts so you can read, write, and reply. Access your address book, receive e-mail alerts and more, right on your Verizon Wireless phone. Getting on the Internet is easy using Verizon's Mobile Web 2.0 package, which allows you to read and send e-mails, exchange instant messages and view your favorite web content on your phone. Verizon's Get It Now wireless download service is also fully compatible with this phone. This pay-per-download service features application downloads, games and productivity tools. You can also personalize your handset with ringtone downloads using the Get It Now service.

And Verizon's Chaperone service lets you easily locate your loved ones from your Verizon Wireless phone or PC in real time. After defining a zone, such as an area designating a school or summer camp, you'll be sent an alert via text message when the Chaperone handset enters or leaves the zone.

What Customers Say About LG Chocolate 3 Phone, Light Blue (Verizon Wireless):

If it is bad, it is Verizon network problem. The speaker sound is great from the music I place in itI used BitPim to manage both contacts, music, and pictures. What usage. no rogue.Great sound quality. So, no iphone, no storm. My Motorola Raz V3 keeps shutting off after I close the flip, that's out of order after less than 2 years.I got this and didn't know the chocolate touch was coming out.Next time. There maybe better phones out there, but this is the best I have used so far.I am not getting a phone that costs me another $60 or more for internet usage,or data plan. Search the internet. I think Verizon figured out a way to charge you money for that, and it is difficult to fight and get it back.I still have 2 compliants filed with FTC against verizon unanswered. That's the CONCON: easy to get charge $1.99 for data usage. Just figured out I can tranfer, drag and drop music or use BitPim.Don't use Bluetooth for transferring music.

I am paying attention to my online account status. The MP3 music player function is okay.Have to charge phone at least every other day when I go to sleep. So that's at least 6 hours charge.Great alarm, and I can have my music as ring tones. I am not rich. Verizon charged me 5 times now. Haven't tried video yet. Verizon is charging me $2 each time I use mobile17. And I will call verizon and write a complaint against verizon with FTC the next time I see additional ghost charges. you will see these complaints.

The phone itself is great. It's beautiful and intuitive, and the wheel on the front is fun. However, I did get frustrated trying to put music on it. I think that it works well if you buy Rhapsody ($15 a month for any music you want), but it's difficult to use with iTunes or Windows Media player.

:-) The sound is great. If you want quality pictures though, go for a real camera. May be completely different depending on what company you use -- I use Verizon. Has something to do with when I connect my phone to the computer. So it was perfect for someone who needs to check email on the phone once in a blue moon (I hated the idea of being forced to buy a $30-a-month data plan just so I can check email on the phone twice a month while I'm away). Now I'm considering buying some Bluetooth headphones (why not). I'm not the pickiest person sound-wise, but I personally think the sound is great.

Its MobileWeb let me pay by the usage -- great if you only want to check email occasionally (I wanted a way to check email when I was on occasional travel). I love the LG Chocolate 3.Okay, I didn't buy it because it's a music player. I just hit End and it goes away. I do take pics of my friends so I can link them to the Contacts list. It doesn't cause any problem. But it's never had a problem with any functionality. But, once I got it, I decided to play around with the music feature. I use the FM Transmitter in my car every day (works reasonably well -- occasional static -- took a little while to find the right frequency but once I did I just saved it as a radio station).

And suddenly I've rediscovered my love for music. This, of course, is entirely dependent on the plan you have with your phone company. I had zero understanding of the Bluetooth features until a friend explained them to me. It doesn't come with any games, and I'm tempted to download "Frogger." I never played games on a phone anyway, but I do like playing with the phone features. Downloads information fast, etc.

It's easy to buy songs online. I've had a great time looking up single songs that I've heard in movies and wanted to buy. Buying those for 99 cents is a lot of fun. I bought it because it was the only phone I could find on my company's plan that would allow me to check email without forcing me to buy an expensive monthly data plan. I had better luck just playing with the phone itself.

I think the manual is confusing when it talks about MobileWeb, Vcast, etc. But you can actually use Bluetooth to transfer address cards between phones as well as files. And here I thought Bluetooth was just the name of the headphones (no). The camera is okay for what it is. That part is cute.

My boyfriend searched through every phone product review to locate one with that feature. I wasn't looking for a camera, so I couldn't care less about that. I even bought a little portable speaker to use so I could play it without headphones. :-) The only problem I've had is that I occasionally get an "Unknown Error" message.

Low quality, no flash. This phone's forte is music.Oh, and the call quality has been excellent.I highly recommend this phone. Thanks for reading.

LG completely regressed 2 years with this phone. However, I really like to stand apart from the crowd and sea of black and gray flip phones, but this phone looks just like every other flip phone out there.

To keep things simple, I thought I would stay in the "chocolate family" and purchase the LG Chocolate 3 in light blue. I LOVED my LG White Chocolate phone, but unfortunately it was having problems keeping a charge.

Sure it does it's job, and it is super at doing what it was made to do. I have had this phone for 2 days and totally despise it every time I look at it.

I hate this phone. To add insult-it pretty much looks like my husbands VX8600 (July 2006 release) but is much more cumbersome to open (can not open it with one hand well).

Totally disappointed.

One thing to note that I never found on any of the sites.when I first tried to use Bitpim after installing it, Bitpim wouldn't work.I think it was because I hadn't restarted my computer.after I did that it was fine. You have to reboot your phone before the ringtones show up.I'd explain how Bitpim works, but there are a plethera of websites that explain it.

I won't go into all the details because Frank Provo, on the review for the Black Chocolate 3, does a really good job of naming off the pros and cons.So yes you can put your own custom ringtones on the Chocolate 3, using a free program called Bitpim. First off I'd like to say I really like this phone.

Also make sure you bring up Bitpim before you attach your phone and that it is set for DATA and not MUSIC. You'll also need some sort of audio editing software, unless you plan on putting the whole MP3 on as your ringtone.

I haven't done this yet, but I plan on changing my MP3 quality from 320kb to 96kb, because after all it is only a ringtone. Just Google Bitpim and Chocolate 3 and you should be good to go.

So if you've set up Bitpim correctly and it's still not working.that may be the reason.
